As Gently Falls is my third instrumental CD. All the tracks had their origin in the streets of country towns in Victoria in 2014.  In that year I experimented with busking for the first time. As I witnessed the stream of life pass me by (and occasionally linger) I felt a liberty to experiment with music in a new way. I took the 'musical street sketches' into the studio and polished them up into full songs. 

All of the 14 tracks have strong evocative melodies. The instrumentation is subtle, tasteful and sparse. The CD features cello, double bass, violin and several other acoustic instruments. Hand percussion by Zac Barter keep things moving but never more than at a morning strolls tempo. 'As Gently Falls' is the type of Cd you could play to help wind down to, songs to replenish, nourish and restore your soul inour often frenetic and fast paced world.
